How updates arrive
The till updates itself at a quiet moment. Here's what you'll see.
Everyone
There's nothing to install. When we release an update, each tablet picks it up by itself.
- The till waits for a quiet moment: no one touching the screen for about 15 seconds, and nothing open or saving.
- While it waits, a small Updating… notice shows at the bottom left.
- The screen then reloads on the new version. Open orders and parked tables are kept on the server, so nothing is lost.
Refresh by hand
If a screen looks wrong or stuck, tap the Refresh icon (the two curved arrows) in the top bar. It clears the tablet's saved copy and reloads the till.
